I'm dreaming of a white christmas

Hey hey hey, time for some update. I was prepering a special entry, but it's not finished yet. Have to fix some pictures for it first. So I thought I should just drop a regular update to what's going on now in my life.

I have almsot completed all the work from school until I can get my grades. There's only one single report I have to do in biology, then I'm free from school!! ..for a while at least. 'Til next year!

My plans for next year are to study one subject at komvux, which is Nature of knowledge B (Naturkunskap B). Then I'm also going to try searching for a job. Which I think it will be difficult since it's hard these days to find any jobs here were I live. But I will try.

I was first going to study more subjects at komvux, but I feel I need to take a break from the studies for I while. Since I know I will study even more when I'm going to try for university college/universitry. My plans are that I will try out to study to a dental technician or dental hygienist. Dental technician seems more appealing to me since of what I've heard you create teeth and you need to be creative and have to have some sense of colors and shapes. And I think that seems quite fiting for me. So will see about that. :) Hopefully it is something for me and maybe it can be my future job.

In other news, are you looking forward to christmas? Bought any presents? I have! I'm not late with buying presents this year, and really proud of it! I'm not done yet though, wouldn't surprise me if I ended up buying the lasts gifts in the last minute. XD Oh well. I can't wait for christmas. ^^ I hope there will be more snow here as well, hasn't come so much yet.

At least it's snowy white outside. :)

Yup, that's what's going on right now. I also have plans for a new cosplay I will have for Uppcon next year. Some friends of mine knows who I chose, but I feel I don't want to tell you yet here who it's going to be. It will be a surprise. ;) Or maybe I could put up progress entries here on the blog. I know that it can be interesting for people, so it's possible I may do that if I have time and strength for it.

Alright, I think I have wrote enough for now. See ya later alligator!

My decorations I have above my desk. I like lighting candles. ^^

Gamex 2011

As I mentioned in the last entry, I’ve been to Gamex this year. Sweden’s biggest gaming event were you can try out video games that hasn't been released, meet other gamers, buy figures and toys ect. It’s kinda like a small small E3 or Tokyo Game Show.

Anyway, I was there the previous year and I had a blast this year too! Most of the games I tried were from Nintendo. The games I tried were The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Mario Kart 7, Resident Evil: Revelations, Rayman Origins, SSX, Gears of War 3, Super Mario Land 3D, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Star Fox 64 3D, Dance Central 2 for Kinect and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land.

Totamish has Pac-man fever!

Soild Snake! This big statue was the first prize in the cosplay competition
Game held. I didn't win it obviously, but it would had been cool to get it! Unfortunately, I don't know who won it.

The games I got most excited about was of course Zelda and Resident Evil, I like both of them and can’t wait ‘til I get to buy them!

In Resident Evil: Revelations the controls are much like in Resident Evil 5, which I like since I’m very used to them and it’s easy to handle. To gain the best gaming experience you should wear headphones so you can get into the scary atmosphere with the surrounding sounds and noises. Your ammo is limited; so you have to be careful to not waste bullets or save bullets and run for your life. A new interesting item you could use was a scanner that scans areas and locates items. It could be ammo, herbs and other useful things.

Of what I have seen (expect for the distasteful female characters) and played so far I liked it. The gameplay will at least be fun, but I’m unsure if the story’s going to be any good. I doubt it, since I wasn’t very fond of the story in RE5. :P But we’ll see!

Zelda was fun to try as well! You could choose different demos, but I only played one which was the dungeon part (my favorite parts of Zelda games). And all I can say it looks promising. I like it that you could swing Link’s sword in any direction with the Wii-remote. I’m looking forward to get my hands on it. I have already reserved a limited edition for me, wiehoo! :3

I got a photo with Pixelninja as Zelda from the new game. ^^

Yeah, and that was pretty much all I got to say. Gamex was awesome as last year! I’ll share some more photos here of cosplayers and my friends.

Craziest mix you can find?! Albert Wesker (a.k.a. Spettan) and my brother as Fox McCloud.

Claire Redfield (a.k.a.
Emelie) found her brother and bought him for a good prize!

Ashley Graham (a.k.a. Hanna) and Claire playing some 3DS!

One of the pictures we took there was this lil’ girl who looked at us with really big eyes. I don’t know if she was afraid of us or fascinated, maybe a mix of both, but she was so cute! Her dad pushed her forward to us so she could take pictures with us. She just kept staring at us and seemed shy, didn’t say a word. Unfortunately my boyfriend couldn’t take a good photo of us, but I’ll never forget her cute face. ^^

Cosplay of Jade from Mortal Kombat 9

I never would have thought that my next cosplay after Krystal would be something like this. I blame it all on my friend Hanna. After she and Lisette cosplayed as Mileena and Kitana on a convent named Närcon this year, she suggested that we should go as a group of Mortal Kombat characters to Gamex. I decided to join for fun, the more the merrier right? ;) And the girl character I like the most in MK is Jade.

It's not because she's green I chose her? Naaaah…

I did this cosplay mostly just for fun. It’s not the best cosplay I’ve done I think and there are things I could have done better and more careful, but the results looks pretty good for not struggling too hard, haha. X) I’m very happy with her gloves. :D The boots are bought and I just remade them to look like Jade’s by painting them and made her jewels out of clay. I “cheated” with the golden parts on the costume by coloring them instead of buying gold fabric. I blame it for being lazy and cheap, besides I had a lot of paint left after I did Krystal. The costume didn’t cost me so much, about 400 kr (€ 44). You can see on the last photo in this entry I colored myself brownish just like Jade is in the game. First, I will show you some progress pictures!

And ta-daaah, the results!

In my opinion I don’t make the best Jade because I’m way too short to be someone as tall as her. XD I looked hilarious among my MK-group and they all called me “lil’ Jade”. But then again, this was just for fun and to join the group.

We made a cool gang and there were many people at the event that took photos of us. We even got interviewed by PowerGamer, GamingGrannar, Svampriket and Press2play (Check out the interviews by clicking on the links. It’s in Swedish though). I never thought we would get so much attention. Really nice that many people liked us. :) We were supposed to have Lisette as Kitana in our group, but unfortunately she couldn’t come. We’ll definitely get together again and take some more photos.

Emelie as Skarlet, Hanna as Mileena, me as Jade and Spettan as Sonya Blade.

Will tell more about the event I went to later!

The Cyprus-trip

I was afraid I'd be bad at updating this blog, but here's a small update to tell you I'm not dead. I can be inactive sometimes, especially now when I have a life to live and lots of school work to take care of. Just so you know!

As I've told earlier, me and my mom has been in Cyprus this summer after my summerwork was done. It was wonderful, I had a great time there and it's was fun being with my mom. I took maaany photos as I've been told to do. I will show you some of them. :) Here's the beach we went to almost everyday.

Our feet getting wet by the waves of the sea.

One day we went to another beach farther away from our hotel, and we met these guys. :)

We went to a trip to a goat farm and saw many goats (duh). Though this one was a bit different from everyone else, it has long ears like a bunny!

We also visit an orange growth and picked some yummy oranges. Mom made juice out of them. It was tasty~.

A store we passed by. Pac-man! :D

Who wants to try a Pokémon Burger? ;)

I wanted to try out a Japanese restaurant one day and we ordered sushi!

We sat with another family who ordered food from this chef. He cooked the food right infront of them. He was pretty funny!

My dessert, strawberry crepes! I have never tried crepes before, but have always wanted to because they look delicious. And it was~.

I found a video-game store, and Sonic inside. ;D

Inside the store, I met Lara Croft. B)

And that was all. ^^ I could show you more, but I decided to take a few ones or else it would be too much. XD

Anyway, the summer is over and I have started school again. I'm reading at komvux in my town, and the subjects I'm reading are chemistry, physics and biology. Yeah, pretty difficult subjects, but it's actually interesting and I'm learning alot.

And that's what's also keeping me busy. I have nearly no time to play any video-games. I have almost finished Yakuza 3 and Grandia 2 that I have started to play this summer, but I wonder when I will have time to actually finish them now. XD Oh well, I'm sure I must find some free time someday to do it. Great games both of them btw, and so different from each other too, haha.

That's all from me for now. Now I must return to study for the physics test I have tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Zombie Nurse +new game!

Last weekend a "Zombie Walk" was held in my city. Me and my friend Zaza decided to join it!

After some thought I chose to go as a zombie nurse (inspired by the nurses from Silent Hill). I bought the dress at a second-hand called Erikshjälpen and used my black wig and white shoes I had for my cosplays. I even made a hat of paper so you could tell I was a nurse.

After I got the stuff, it was time to make the dress bloody!

Here you can see me working. For the blood I mixed syrup, soya, red caramel color and some cocoa together. Then I used a sponge to make the stains. I also cut some holes and made it look stale with a hobby knife. And voilá! It's finished!

And here you can see how we looked like during the event.

(Photo taken by Elisabeth Nelin)

It was the first time for me attending a zombie walk and I have always wanted to try it after seeing others doing it, so I'm glad I got the chance. It was lots of fun and I definitely want to do it again. Next time it would be fun to be a zombie-hunter instead, but we'll see!

At the same day I also went to GameStop in my outfit to buy Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D which was realized the day before. It's not every day a zombie goes at GameStop to buy games. Quite a fitting game for zombie as well, or? Hehe.

I have played it a bit and so far I like it. It's fun to play whenever you are bored and want to kick some ass. It took some time to learn the controls since I'm used to the Mecenaries at Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360. I'm also used to play as Rebecca Chambers at ME: Reunion since she is my favorite RE character and I like her weapons (machine gun and shotgun ftw!). But on 3DS my chose of character is Jill Valentine (casual) *gasp* since her weapons are more like Rebecca's previous weapons and I like Jill too. Especially in her old look rather than her new one.

That's all for me. Time to get ready for bed since I have work tomorrow. Before I sleep, I think I will play some more RE: M3D. n_n G'night~
